Jinn are beings abstracted from matter (mujarrad), possessing form and appearance (ṣāḥib), luminous spiritual beings endowed with distinguishing intellects. These are called malāʾika (angels). They do not occupy space and are not present in any location. They have no particular form or body.
If they appear within a form, that is a subtle and refined secret. This is referred to as such.
