Junayd has said: Sufism (taṣawwuf) is a war without peace (it is continual spiritual struggle). Another of his sayings: They are the people of a house; no one other than them can enter among them. Another of his sayings: Sufism (taṣawwuf) is to remember Allah (God) with a collected mind, and to enter into ecstasy through samāʿ (spiritual audition).
