It appears as a manifestation of His work, and is found as a shadow that He created to exist. (Jāmiʿ, 66)
Walāya (walāya, friendship with God) is a light from among the lights of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). It is agreed that the rank of walāya is below the rank of nubuwwa (prophethood), and that ilhām (inspiration) is beneath waḥy (revelation). Surely, Allah, after closing the door of waḥy following prophethood, opened the door of ilhām as a mercy to His servants. Divine assistance, due to people being immersed in heedlessness and desires, serves as tadhkīr (reminder), tajdīd (renewal)...
