The section of abwāb (gates) (maqāmāt, spiritual stations) is divided into ten bāb (chapters). These are: ḥuzn (sorrow), khawf (fear), ishfāq (compassion), khushūʿ (humble reverence), ihbāt (humility), zuhd (asceticism), warāʿ (scrupulousness), tabattul (detachment), rajāʾ (hope), and raghba (desire).
