ehil (Sufism Glossary)

The one who is ehil (qualified, spiritually adept) has neither a teacher nor a student! He knows neither how to choose nor how to separate! For him, there is no need to embellish words. He does not require admonition either. He is neither with Him nor from Him! Rather, what is in Him is in Him. He is with Him as well. But he is not in Him. He is a desert within a desert, a verse (āya) within a verse (āya). (Tawāsin, 203)
