This, then, is nubuwwat-i tashri (tashri nubuwwa, i.e., legislative prophethood). As Allah has said: "And thus We have revealed to you an inspiration of Our command [rūḥ]" (al-Shūrā 42:52). He sends down the angels, with the Rūḥ from His command, upon whom He wills of His servants (as prophets). This is ʿāmma nubuwwa (general prophethood), because it comes in the indefinite form. "That they may warn you that there is no deity except Me and that you should fear Me" (al-Naḥl 16:2).
As for nubuwwat-i khassa, it is tashri nubuwwa (legislative prophethood). He casts the Rūḥ from His command upon whom He wills of His servants. He is the Owner of the Throne, who raises ranks, that He may warn of the Day of Meeting. He casts the Rūḥ from His command upon whom He wills of His servants. On that Day they will appear, and nothing of theirs will be hidden from Allah. (It will be asked:) "To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day?" To Allah, the One, the Prevailing (al-Muʾmin 40:15-16). Nubuwwat-i tashri (prophethood that brings sharia) is not a general prophethood. Your warning is...
