The heart of the ʿārif (gnostic) or the insān al-kāmil (perfect human) is, in relation to the ring, in the position of the bezel's setting. In the place of the ring's bezel, there is no excess whatsoever. That place is, on the contrary (bilakis), exactly as large as the bezel itself. Its roundness is round according to the bezel, or it is square, hexagonal, octagonal, or whatever the shape of the bezel may be.
The likening of the insān al-kāmil (perfect human) not to anything else, but specifically to the setting of the ring.
