Clouds are the locus of lights (nūr).
For this reason, they are the closest covering.
From them, knowledges flow to the intellect.
Through them, unveiling (kashf) becomes possible for the eyes.
Within them are the lightning flashes whose brightness never fades,
to purify the eyes.
Within them are the thunders whose rumbling never ceases, for our ears,
to declare the secrets transcendent (tenzīh).
The lightnings that do not erase our traces and forms,
their striking is to aid our traces.
