Hedy means bayān (clear exposition) that brings happiness. However, it is knowledge that brings happiness. (Futūḥāt, IV, 316)
Hele (la)... to endure a calamity directly is called sabr (patient endurance), and its opposite is called cezʿ (anxiety) and heleʿ (fear). A person, by shouting and tearing at his collar, by throwing himself on the ground, follows the call of his hawa (whims)... (Iḥyāʾ, IV, 82)
Heleʿ is the same as enduring pain and suffering. (Mīzān, 74)
