It falls away. (Kāshānī, 116; Jāmiʿ, 9)
ʿAbd al-Ḍār waʾl-Nāfiʿ (ʿAbd al-Ḍār and ʿAbd al-Nāfiʿ) is the one whom Allah causes to witness Himself as the One who acts as He wills in the universe, and whom He unveils the unity of His actions. Such a person recognizes neither harm nor benefit, neither good nor evil, as coming from anyone other than Him. When a person realizes these two Names, their locus of manifestation becomes the place where they are revealed. Through his Lord, he brings harm or benefit to people. Allah has assigned only one of these two Names to some of His servants. Thus, some are made to be loci of harm only, like Satan and those who follow him. Others are made to be loci of benefit only, like Khidr and those who are affiliated with him. (Kāshānī, 128; Jāmiʿ, 13)
