Hulūliyya claimed that the Real (al-Ḥaqq) selects certain bodies and, in the sense of rubūbiyya (divine lordship), indwells (hulūl) in them, thereby removing the human aspect (bashariyya) from those bodies. (Lumaʿ, 541)
