Insidāʿ al-jamʿ (the splitting open of the jamʿ, i.e., the opening up of gatheredness) is the state of farq (differentiation) that comes after jamʿ (gatheredness), when unity (waḥda) manifests within multiplicity (kathra); the consideration of multiplicity is within unity. (Kāshānī, 33; Jāmī, 77)
