Kassāriyyūn are those affiliated with Abū Ṣāliḥ Ḥamdūn Aḥmad ʿAmmiyārat al-Kassār. Al-Kassār was among the great scholars and eminent figures of this path. His malāmati (the way of self-blame) was to explain and spread this approach. He has significant sayings regarding various spiritual dealings (muʿāmalāt). May Allah be pleased with him, he used to say: "The knowledge of the Real (ḥaqq) should be more pleasing to you than the knowledge of creation (khalq)." That is, your dealings with the Real (ḥaqq) in solitude should be more beautiful than your dealings with people (khalq) in public. For the greatest ḥijāb (veil) that conceals the Real (ḥaqq) is the preoccupation of your qalb (the heart) with people (khalq).
