Kalima-i ādāmiyyat (the word of humanity) is, according to Sufism, the term for knowledge that has been brought forth from the realm of knowledge into the realm of witnessing (mushāhada) in order to convey the will of Allah Most High, thus completing the intended purpose. This is to behold the Essence (Dhāt) of Allah Most High in the realm of existence, which has been perfected (kamāl) with the aforementioned attributes. These attributes are the manifestation to the human being of the mysteries of gathering (jamʿ), restriction (ḥaṣr), and secret (sirr). For, if existence does not possess these attributes, it cannot serve as the mirror for the sought vision (ruʾya) [of God]. (Sofyavi, 14)
