Kelime (word); is the name given to essences (māhiyyat), individuations (aʿyān), ḥaqīqas (inner realities), and beings—in short, to everything that is designated. The essence, inner realities, and individuations that are apprehended by the intellect are spiritual; those pertaining to the external unseen are existence (wujūd), while those that are mujarrad (abstract) are different as well.
