karāmāt (Sufi Terminology)

They belong to the awliyāʾ (friends of God) and virtuous Muslims. (Luma, 390) Allah, the Exalted, grants them (the awliyāʾ) in order to discipline and refine their nafs (the lower self), and to beautify it.
