Kil-i akvam refers to the most eloquent and articulate expression that unites tashbīh (affirming similarity to God) and tanzīh (declaring God's transcendence), provided that neither side outweighs the other on the scale. This is, in comparison to other revealed scriptures, the Qur'an. Next, in comparison to other prophets, it is the speech (kalām) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Accordingly, there is never any deficiency in (divine) assistance; if there is any shortcoming, it lies in the capacities of human beings. This particular support and aid is the greatest happiness and blessing bestowed upon us by the Messenger of God (peace be upon him). For this reason, salāt (prayer of blessing) and salām (greeting of peace) have been made specific to him. (Sofyavi, 3)
