Kürsi is the station of command and prohibition. (Iṣṭilāḥ, 540)
Kürsi consists of the manifestation of all active attributes. It is the locus of the appearance of divine power and the place where command and prohibition take effect. In the disclosure of the realities of creation, the first point of divine attention regarding the subtleties of the Real (al-Ḥaqq) is the kürsi. (Insān, II, 5)
One of the levels of existence (wujūd) is also the Kürsi. It is at the level of action. According to what is reported in the hadith, the feet of the Real (al-Ḥaqq) hang down from the Kürsi. One of His feet consists of prohibition, and the other of command. The kürsi in your body is the rational soul (nafs-i nāṭıqa), from which your active names arise. For it desires the attainment of what is suitable for itself and the removal of what is unsuitable. According to the requirements of this universal entity, and since these requirements are, in terms of particularity, nothing but prohibition and command. (Marātib, 23)
