These are the lusts prohibited by Allah, to which the nafs (the lower self) inclines. On this path, this is the state of the sālik (traveler on the Sufi path) for quite some time. When his ḥāl (spiritual state) attains kamāl (perfection), and he reaches the rank of those who have arrived at the end of the path, he becomes aware of what he does and what he abandons there.
