Meʾālim-i aʿlām al-ṣifāt: the signs (ʿalāma) and indications (ishāra) of the attributes (ṣifāt). These are the organs such as the eye, ear, and hand. They are the loci where the meanings and essences of the attributes manifest (tajallī). Here, the indication (ishāra) serves as a locus of manifestation (tajallīgāh), similar to the signs of religion and waymarks. (Kāshānī, 87; Jāmiʿ, 99)

meʾānī? When you walk in the world of meanings (maʿānī) with your own thought, prevent your senses from tasting the flavor of meanings. But if your sense walks towards the meanings, do not prevent your secret (sirr, i.e., your qalb [the heart]) from witnessing the meanings. To remain with sense in both this world (dunyā) and the hereafter is preferable. In the paradise of bounty (jannat al-munya), at the moment of vision, its honor will suddenly become manifest to you.
