Me'hüz and müsteleb have the same meaning. However, the meaning of me'hüz is broader than that of müsteleb. These refer to the ʿābids (abiders, devout worshippers). (Luma, 420)

Makān / makānat (spiritual place/station): Makān is for the people of kamāl (perfection), tamkīn (firm establishment), and nihāya (the ultimate end). When the servant attains perfection in these meanings, makān is realized for him, because he has traversed the maqāms (spiritual stations) and ḥāls (spiritual states), and has become a sāḥib (possessor) of makān. Someone has said:
All my heart is the place within my heart
There is no room there for any other than You
Makān is a rank on the spread of Allah's mercy. It is possible for the people of perfection who have realized the attainment of the maqām above the maqāms, ḥāls, jalāl (majesty), and jamāl (beauty). For them, there is neither an attribute nor a description (Istilāḥ, 531).
If one asks, "What is makān?" we say: It is a place on the covering of Allah's mercy. It is possible for the people of perfection who have realized the attainment of the maqām above the maqāms, ḥāls, jalāl, and jamāl. They have neither an attribute nor a description; it is not possible to explain or depict them. (Futūḥāt, II, 130)
Makānat is the highest of the places to be reached and dwelled in with Allah. It is called makān. It is alluded to by Allah the Exalted's word: "[The believers will be] in a seat of truth [maqʿadi ṣidq] near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability." (al-Qamar 54:55) (Kāshānī, 88; Jāmiʿ, 99)
