Mawāhib is the plural of mawhiba (gift, bestowal). mevc-i evvel-mevc-i sānī
It is not an extraordinary phenomenon, but rather a state in which certain people are distinguished (temeyyüz ettiği—can be discerned), and which is somewhat removed from ordinary habits (and close to the extraordinary). This ḥāl (spiritual state) is not exclusive to the awliyāʾ (friends of God), but pertains both to them and to others as well. (Bustān, 60)
