mirʾāt-i kawn (the mirror of the cosmos): This mirror is the absolute being (mutlaq wujūd). For the cosmos, its attributes and judgments have only manifested within it. It, in turn, is concealed by the manifestation of attributes and judgments, just as the surface of a mirror is hidden by the forms that appear upon it. (Kāshānī, 82; Jāmiʿ, 97)
