Muhāzāt is the state in which the servant, being absent from all else, passes beyond anything other than Allah to such a degree that he cannot perceive anything but Allah, and becomes present with His Essence through murāqaba (spiritual vigilance) and erek (intent). (Kāshānī, 81; Jāmiʿ, 97)
