Müheyyemün are the angels who become enraptured by witnessing the beauty (jamāl) of the Real (al-Ḥaqq). Because they are so intensely occupied with the contemplation (mushāhada) of the Real, they are unaware that Allah created Adam (peace be upon him). These angels, who occupy a very exalted maqām (spiritual station), were not charged with prostrating to Adam because they are absent from all that is other than the Real and are overwhelmed by the light of His beauty. None besides the Real can have access to them. They are the Karūbiyyūn (Cherubim). (Kāshānī, 90; Jāmiʿ, 100)
