The mutaḥaqqiq bi’l-Ḥaqq wa’l-khalq (the one who is realized through both the Real and creation), is the person who perceives that every absolute (mutlaq) existent in being is a delimitation, and that every delimited thing possesses an aspect of absoluteness; conversely, every absolute and every being that is delimited in every respect is, in reality, a single ḥaqīqa (inner reality). The one who witnesses this level through direct tasting (dhawq) realizes both the Real (al-Ḥaqq) and creation (al-khalq), both fanāʾ (annihilation in God) and baqāʾ (subsistence in God).
