Countless praise and thanks be to my Exalted Lord, and blessings and peace be upon His great Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), his Companions (may Allah be pleased with them), and his family who will come until the Day of Resurrection; as numerous as the stars in the sky and all the creatures on earth, living and non-living, known and unknown to me. May abundant blessings and peace be upon them. May abundant maghfira (forgiveness) and mercy be upon the umma of His people of tawhid (the oneness of God).

When the author gifted me this valuable work, he said: “With this book, converse with our brethren!” Now I understand that by these words, he indicated that the book should be translated into Turkish and recommended as a book of conversation to all our religious brethren who love Sufism (taṣawwuf). For this reason, the author’s son, Muhammad Hayri Efendi, persistently requested this humble servant to translate the work. I accepted this proposal. Indeed, I saw that this work reveals the true reality of Sufism (taṣawwuf). Therefore, may this work be a guide for sincere seekers on the true path who are devoted to Sufism (taṣawwuf), and may those of our brethren who doubt Sufism (taṣawwuf) understand, by reading this work, that Sufism (taṣawwuf) is the very essence of Islam. We have no doubt that our fair-minded brethren will surely read and benefit from this work, which contains verses (āyāt), hadith, and the words of jurists and spiritual guides (murshids).

Let those who are devoted to Sufism (taṣawwuf), by reading this book, learn Sufism (taṣawwuf) and understand the ḥaqīqa (inner reality). For this reason, may they lift the veil that covers the inner reality within themselves and open their hearts (qulūb). For this reason, I have named this valuable work “Truths from Sufism.” May Allah, the Most High, grant that this work opens my heart and the hearts of those who seek! May the sun of inner reality rise in hearts for this reason! The intense interest shown in the first edition of the book “Truths from Sufism” from various circles has given us renewed enthusiasm to publish it a second time. In this edition, we have reviewed the book again in an effort to present an even better book to our Muslim brethren. We request from our brethren who are devoted to Sufism (taṣawwuf) and read this book that if they see any part of the translation that contradicts creed or jurisprudence, they kindly warn us. For no servant is free from error.

For our mistakes

we

ask

forgiveness

from our Lord.

We hope for reward from Him for these efforts. I extend my thanks to Muhammed İnce, Eyüp Bucan, and other brethren whose names I have not mentioned, who contributed to the second edition of the book.
