To be able to remove (something) is the cleansing of the qalb (the heart) from rancor and hatred, and the ability to accept the excuse of one's companion. (Ādāb, 88)
(One of the dispensations is) to distance oneself from some of the things from which separation is necessary. The reason for this is to manifest the truth and to destroy falsehood (bāṭil), and to show enmity for the sake of Allah.
(One of the dispensations is) to consider lying permissible where there is benefit (maṣlaḥa). The etiquette of the Sufis in this matter is to seek reform and to ensure the manifestation of the truth. (Ādāb, 91)
(One of the dispensations is) to visit the elderly. The etiquette in this matter is to seek a means of nearness to Allah, to establish mutual visits, and to seek dua (supplication) and blessing.
(One of the dispensations is) to associate with the people of the world (dunyā), with administrators, and with kings, to show them respect and to receive them well. The etiquette in this matter is not to covet their worldly lives and not to seek any maqām (spiritual station) from them. (Ādāb, 92)
(One of the dispensations is) the display of pride and claim. The etiquette in this matter is to manifest the blessings of Allah through this means. (Ādāb, 96)
(One of the dispensations is) to become distressed by anger and wrath in the face of impossible and unbearable things. The etiquette in this matter is to avoid all baseness and excess, to observe the limits set by Allah and not to transgress them, and not to incline towards oppression. If one becomes very angry and exceeds the limit, this state dominates the intellect. (Ādāb, 97)
