The sened-i telkin and lübs-i ḥırka (the basis for telkin [spiritual instruction] and the donning of the cloak) are traditions that, among the early generations (salaf), were accepted with a good opinion of their predecessors, without being firmly established according to the methodology of the hadith scholars (muhaddithīn).
