suʾāl-i ḥazrateyn

Suʾāl-i ḥazrateyn (the request of the two stations) refers to the demand that arises from two levels: from the level of necessity (wujūb) by the tongue of the divine names, which desire to obtain the breath of the All-Merciful (nafas al-Raḥmān) whose manifestation is only possible through the forms of the entities (aʿyān); and from the level of possibility (imkān) by the tongue of the entities (aʿyān), whose manifestation is possible through the names. The assistance of the (Raḥmānī) breath in achieving ittiṣāl (union) is the eternal answer to the requests of these levels. (Kāshānī, 104; Jāmiʿ, 86)
