Tawīl is the first thing to manifest in the inner being (bāṭin) of the servant as a result of theophanies (tajalliyāt) of the Divine Names. Due to the illumination of his inner being, the servant's akhlaq (character) and attributes become refined. (Jāmiʿ, 88)
