May Allah watch over the bird that alights upon the fresh branch.
He brought to me, with complete clarity,
the truest of news.
Tayr (bird), while on the branch, invites the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). Banāt (fresh branch) is its joy, its emergence. Tayr, then, is the one who announces the descent of the Real (al-Ḥaqq) to the heaven of the dunyā (this world), as a form of taʿẓīm (magnification, exaltation).
Time is its subtlety. In the hadith, the phrase "until Fajr (dawn) appears" is mentioned. When hearts belong to that subtlety, there are moments when Allah the Exalted is present together with the nafs (the lower self). Their shares are the attribution (nisba) of the moment to the descent of the Real and the manifestation of natural forms (images, shapes) during the night, nisba (attribution, relation) and its being ascribed.
