It belongs entirely to the Real (al-Ḥaqq). We have explained this subject in our work entitled Kitāb al-Majrā al-Ḥudūth wa’l-Qidam wa’l-Mawjūd ‘an al-Wujūd wa’l-‘Adam. There is no need to repeat here the information found there regarding this matter.
Know that the qalb (the heart) is the throne of Allah. The entirety of the cosmos is the throne of the All-Merciful (al-Raḥmān). Between the two thrones are things that are between the two Names. (Marātib, I, 22)
There are two kinds of thrones (‘arsh): the greatest throne and the smallest throne. The inner aspect (bāṭin) of the greatest throne is constant while its outward aspect (ẓāhir) is variable; the outward aspect of the smallest throne is constant while its inner aspect is variable. (Nafahāt, 48)
