It encompasses both essence (dhāt) and attribute (ṣifa); both necessary (lāzim) and contingent (ʿaraḍ, accidental); both ḥaqīqa (inner reality) and metaphor (majāz) within itself. Whatever you hear and perceive externally is but a subtlety among the subtleties of the human being, or one of its particular inner realities. In this ḥāl (spiritual state), the human being is (as the world) the Real (al-Ḥaqq, i.e., the world of the Real), the Essence (i.e., also bearing the qualities of the world of Essence), attribute, Throne (ʿarsh), Footstool (kursī), Tablet (lawḥ), Pen (qalam), angel, jinn, heavens and their stars, earth and everything in it, the dunyā (this world) and the world of the hereafter.
