Yemīn-i gāmūs is an oath by which truth becomes bāṭil (falsehood), and falsehood becomes truth. This oath has also been described as an oath by which a Muslim's property is unjustly seized. Even if it concerns taking a miswak stick from a miswak tree, it is still considered the same. For this oath plunges its taker into the wrath of Allah. It has also been said: This oath leads its taker into Hell. (Küt, II, 148)
