zabur 3:) ) Zabur is a Syriac word meaning 'book'. The Arabs also used this word. Indeed, Allah has used this term in the Qur'an: "Everything they did is in the zabūr." Here, zabūr means 'books'. The zabūr was revealed to Prophet Dāwūd (David) in detailed verses, but Prophet Dāwūd only presented it to his people, all at once, after its revelation from Allah was completed. In terms of conversation (muḥāwara), Prophet Dāwūd was the most noble among people, and in terms of character (akhlāq), he was the most excellent. (Insān, I, 72)
