Unity: Qur’an Verses

وَاَق۪يمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَارْكَعُوا مَعَ الرَّاكِع۪ينَ

and be constant in prayer, and spend in charity, and bow down in prayer with all who thus bow down.

وَاعْتَصِمُوا بِحَبْلِ اللّٰهِ جَم۪يعًا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُواۖ وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْكُمْ اِذْ كُنْتُمْ اَعْدَٓاءً فَاَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَاَصْبَحْتُمْ بِنِعْمَتِه۪ٓ اِخْوَانًاۚ وَكُنْتُمْ عَلٰى شَفَا حُفْرَةٍ مِنَ النَّارِ فَاَنْقَذَكُمْ مِنْهَاۜ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمْ اٰيَاتِه۪ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ

And hold fast, all together, unto the bond with Allah, and do not draw apart from one another. And remember the blessings which Allah has bestowed upon you: how, when you were enemies, He brought your hearts together, so that through His blessing you became brethren; and [how, when] you were on the brink of a fiery abyss. He saved you from it. In this way Allah makes clear His messages unto you, so that you might find guidance,

وَاَط۪يعُوا اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ ر۪يحُكُمْ وَاصْبِرُواۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الصَّابِر۪ينَۚ

And pay heed unto Allah and His Apostle, and do not [allow yourselves to] be at variance with one another, lest you lose heart and your moral strength desert you. And be patient in adversity: for, verily, Allah is with those who are patient in adversity.

شَرَعَ لَكُمْ مِنَ الدّ۪ينِ مَا وَصّٰى بِه۪ نُوحًا وَالَّذ۪ٓي اَوْحَيْنَٓا اِلَيْكَ وَمَا وَصَّيْنَا بِه۪ٓ اِبْرٰه۪يمَ وَمُوسٰى وَع۪يسٰٓى اَنْ اَق۪يمُوا الدّ۪ينَ وَلَا تَتَفَرَّقُوا ف۪يهِۜ كَبُرَ عَلَى الْمُشْرِك۪ينَ مَا تَدْعُوهُمْ اِلَيْهِۜ اَللّٰهُ يَجْتَب۪ٓي اِلَيْهِ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيَهْد۪ٓي اِلَيْهِ مَنْ يُن۪يبُ

In matters of faith, He has ordained for you that which He had enjoined upon Noah – and into which We gave thee [O Muhammad] insight through revelation as well as that which We had enjoined upon Abraham, and Moses, and Jesus: Steadfastly uphold the [true] faith, and do not break up your unity therein. [And even though] that [unity of faith] to which thou callest them appears oppressive to those who are wont to ascribe to other beings or forces a share in His divinity, Allah draws unto Himself everyone who is willing, and guides unto Himself everyone who turns unto Him.

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الَّذ۪ينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِه۪ صَفًّا كَاَنَّهُمْ بُنْيَانٌ مَرْصُوصٌ

Verily, Allah loves [only] those who fight in His cause in [solid] ranks, as though they were a building firm and compact.
