01Bakara / 219

يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الْخَمْرِ وَالْمَيْسِرِۜ قُلْ ف۪يهِمَٓا اِثْمٌ كَب۪يرٌ وَمَنَافِعُ لِلنَّاسِۘ وَاِثْمُهُمَٓا اَكْبَرُ مِنْ نَفْعِهِمَاۜ وَيَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَا يُنْفِقُونَۜ قُلِ الْعَفْوَۜ كَذٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ اللّٰهُ لَكُمُ الْاٰيَاتِ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَفَكَّرُونَۙ

THEY WILL ASK thee about intoxicants and games of chance. Say: "In both there is great evil as well as some benefit for man; but the evil which they cause is greater than the benefit which they bring." And they will ask thee as to what they should spend [in Allah's cause]. Say: "Whatever you can spare." In this way Allah makes clear unto you His messages, so that you might reflect
02Bakara / 237

وَاِنْ طَلَّقْتُمُوهُنَّ مِنْ قَبْلِ اَنْ تَمَسُّوهُنَّ وَقَدْ فَرَضْتُمْ لَهُنَّ فَر۪يضَةً فَنِصْفُ مَا فَرَضْتُمْ اِلَّٓا اَنْ يَعْفُونَ اَوْ يَعْفُوَا الَّذ۪ي بِيَدِه۪ عُقْدَةُ النِّكَاحِۜ وَاَنْ تَعْفُٓوا اَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوٰىۜ وَلَا تَنْسَوُا الْفَضْلَ بَيْنَكُمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَص۪يرٌ

And if you divorce them before having touched them, but after having settled a dower upon them, then [give them] half of what you have settled – unless it be that they forgo their claim or he in whose hand is the marriage-tie forgoes his claim [to half of the dower]: and to forgo what is due to you is more in accord with Allah-consciousness. And forget not [that you are to act with] grace towards one another: verily, Allah sees all that you do.

03Nahl / 126

وَاِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُمْ بِه۪ۜ وَلَئِنْ صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِلصَّابِر۪ينَ

Hence, if you have to respond to an attack (in argument], respond only to the extent of the attack levelled against you; but to bear yourselves with patience is indeed far better for (you, since Allah is with] those who are patient in adversity.
04Kasas / 54

اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ يُؤْتَوْنَ اَجْرَهُمْ مَرَّتَيْنِ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيَدْرَؤُ۫نَ بِالْحَسَنَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَاهُمْ يُنْفِقُونَ

These it is that shall receive a twofold reward for having been patient in adversity, and having repelled evil with good, and having spent on others out of what We provided for them as sus­tenance,
