Stars: Qur’an Verses

وَعَلَامَاتٍۜ وَبِالنَّجْمِ هُمْ يَهْتَدُونَ

as well as [various other] means of orientation: for [it is] by the stars that men find their way.

وَهُوَ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَ الَّيْلَ وَالنَّهَارَ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَۜ كُلٌّ ف۪ي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

and [fail to see that] it is He who has created the night and the day and the sun and the moon – all of them floating through space!

لَا الشَّمْسُ يَنْبَغ۪ي لَهَٓا اَنْ تُدْرِكَ الْقَمَرَ وَلَا الَّيْلُ سَابِقُ النَّهَارِۜ وَكُلٌّ ف۪ي فَلَكٍ يَسْبَحُونَ

[and] neither may the sun overtake the moon, nor can the night usurp the time of day, since all of them float through space [in accordance with Our laws].
